Mitchell G. Rubin, CFP®, AEP®, CPFA®, CFF®

Mitchell Rubin is nationally recognized CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Accredited Estate Planner™, Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor™ and Certified Financial Fiduciary™, with 20-plus years of experience developing and implementing “tax-focused financial solutions” for the owners of small and closely held businesses. Mitchell is best known for his skill in the design, development and skillful implementation of defined benefit plans and other tax-deductible solutions for business owners. His unique planning process is based on his personal motto, “Never pay tax before you absolutely have to pay it, because you may never have to pay it”.

Mitchell has been and continues to be an industry leader in the financial service, wealth management and insurance industries. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Small Business Council of America (SBCA). In this capacity he provides the SBCA executive board with expertise and insight on matters of importance to small business owners. He also regularly meets and communicates with congressmen and congressional staff to influence legislation in an effort to protect and further the interests of small business owners. In the past he has served as a Director of the Estate Planning Council of New York City, The Financial Planning Association of Miami and the Greater Houston Society of Financial Service Professionals.

Mitchell has served as adjunct faculty at Florida Gulf Coast University, Nova South Eastern University and The American College, teaching classes on IRS Qualified Plans, Retirement Planning, Insurance and Employee Benefits, as well as prep courses for candidates attempting to earn a CFP® designation. As an educator and business builder he has trained and coached 100s of financial advisors on practice development, financial planning principles and techniques, including a number of the industry’s top advisors. Many of these financial advisors continue to rely on Mitchell’s coaching and routinely seek his assistance in structuring financial solutions for their client’s most complex problems. Mitchell currently conducts CPE seminars for CPA firms throughout the US.

Throughout his career, Mitchell has been consulted by the financial media and periodically quoted in publications, including Business Week, Smart Money, Best Life and Reuters and Senior News. Mitchell was recently interviewed by Advent Media and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Fortune and Texas Monthly.
